Paisajes Sonoros del Maestro Roncador
The Spanish Acoustic Society has published a book written by Francesc Daumal, as a contribution of the International Year of Sound 2020.
The book, entitled “Paisajes Sonoros del Maestro Roncador” (Sound Landscapes of the Snoring Professor), is a fun story that, through different episodes of the professor’s life, explains the fundamental principles of acoustics and soundscapes.
Francesc Daumal is an architect, professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a member of the Spanish Acoustic Society.
This book is the continuation of the previous book, Maestro Roncador, published by the Spanish Acoustical Society in 2014, within the collection “Temas de Acústica”. The book tells the most important episodes in the life of a professor (Maestro Roncador), which shows his students, in his unconventional classes, the sound experiences in the most practical and attractive way that can be done. In addition, episodes from the personal life of the maturity and old age of the professor are recounted, which unequivocally reveal his personality.
