International Year of Sound 2020-2021
Ambiance design creates small, localised environments that provide sites of restoration and experiential difference from the everyday noises and hubbub of the city. The event will include a curated set of conversations running concurrently with an in-situ installation. Hear a talk from sound-artist Jordan Lacey, and Shanti Sumartojo (MADA), on the meaning of ambiance in a design and architecture context. This will be followed by a live ambiance installation by Jordan Lacey, Philip Samartzis, Polly Stanton and Malte Wagenfeld. This event is funded and curated by Jordan Lacey (DECRA Fellow, School of Art / School of Design, RMIT University).
Location: Melbourne, Australia
