The thin line between an analog and a digital signal: What we often ignore about the Nyquist-Shannon theorem

EVENT CANCELLED

[originally scheduled for 5 May 2020, then rescheduled for 13 October 2020] The event is divided into two parts: a technical part about the thin line between an analog and a digital signal; and an “artistic” part that explains the topics of the technical part with musical excerpts and sound examples of analogic and digital sound carriers.
The event is aimed at the general public with the goal of better learning, better listening, and better sound. The fact to insert also a technical part, is intended, to inform but also to try to bring audiophiles closer to ordinary people, who may discover strong and pleasant emotions in sound. The event consists above all in giving the audience the opportunity to listen to various high quality sound recordings, both analog and digital, but also trying to encourage them to search for limits, by understanding some lesser known aspects of the functioning of the hearing system.
