Small Screen Science is a science communication podcast which explores the science behind TV shows. Season 2 Episode 1 investigates Blue Planet II. We discuss sound in water, how we use sound to determine when a vessel is full and why we can hear the the difference between pouring hot and cold water. The episode also includes an interview with BAFTA and EMMY award winning re-recording mixer Martyn Harries about the importance of sound and foley in nature documentaries.
