5th 3M R&D Conference “Safe and more efficient communication in noisy environment”

The annual 3M R&D conference is the place for sharing knowledge and developing of new ideas for better and safer workplaces. Scientists from universities, research institutes, R&D teams meet governmental decision makers, industrial experts, trade unions or end-users. Together we can develop new spaces for safety raising on the higher level. The conference is focused on the most important challenges at work with Personal Protection Equipment. The conference is organized in collaboration with Ministry of Technology, President of Wrocław, Labour Inspectorate, Institute of Occupational Medicine, Employers of Poland, BSI Group. Year by year one main topic has been selected. This year we will celebrate the International Year of Sound 2020 and the main topic of 5th conference will be focused on “Safe and more efficient communication in noisy environment”.

We will discuss about hearing losses and speech intelligibility in noisy environment and the most important obstacles in broad implementation of communication systems. Panelists will try to find the ways of mitigating a negative impact of noise on health with more efficient communication. They will also present the newest trends and innovative technologies that help manage communication in noisy environment. All information will be completed by hands-on sessions and presentations.

Main language will be Polish but the conference will be available on-line and translated to English, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian. Like previous years, organizers hope it will be the first step in closer collaboration and activities for safer workplaces in terms of efficient communication in noisy environment.
